Becky Wyatt-Brown, Target’s Arrears Control Executive, and her husband Chris Brown, have raised more than £1,500 to buy a CuddleCot to allow families to spend one last day with their child. They have donated the cot to Ysbyty Gwynedd’s Labour Ward.
The CuddleCot, which is a Moses blanket with a refrigerated base, allows bereaved parents to spend extra precious time with their baby.
Becky gave birth to her stillborn baby Olivia Rose in May 2017. The couple have since raised over £4,500 towards Sands Charity in memory of their daughter.
Back in May 2021, Becky and her husband bravely took part in a skydive which raised the £1,500 needed to purchase the CuddleCot.
Sarah Griffith, Bereavement Specialist Midwife at Ysbyty Gwynedd, said: “A CuddleCot is a key piece of equipment in supporting families after the death of a baby, which allows more families the chance to spend extra precious time with their baby and to grieve in their own way and at their own pace.
“We would like to thank Becky and Chris for such a kind donation that will make a huge difference to other parents who have suffered a stillbirth or a neonatal death.”
