Target wouldn’t be Target without its fantastic experts.
This week, meet Beth Collins.
What do you like best about working at Target?
I really enjoy working at Target. I’ve learnt more in my two and half years at Target than I learnt in the previous 7 years of my working life, and not just in a professional sense. Opportunities such as my involvement in Women In Target have also been a huge benefit and not something that is so accessible within other businesses. I’ve personally always believed that if you find yourself within “Autopilot” for any role you hold, it’s time to find something more challenging. Every role I’ve had in Target has given me the autonomy to find a challenge and really jump into it – allowing me to push myself daily and achieve a great sense of fulfilment. If I can add one other, it would be the people I’ve met and worked with during my time here.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
With a background in Continuous Improvement, the thing that excites me most is the opportunity to learn and respond to problems from businesses of all sizes and backgrounds, and coming up with a creative solution. Through exploring and responding to client requests it gives me an insider look at the direction of travel within the financial market, which is a topic that has always greatly interested me. Alongside this, I’ve always been a highly competitive person and as we are a sales team, the thrill of the potential win is highly motivating for me.
What are your main objectives in your role for the next 12 months?
I’d like to gain more confidence and lead a deal from cradle to grave with minimal support.
