Target wouldn’t be Target without its fantastic experts.
This week, meet Bahader Hussain.
What do you like best about working at Target? What’s your best memory of working at Target?
Personal development – for me it’s always about developing people and an environment that allows continuous improvement.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The team. I work with a team of people that are all as passionate about learning as I am, and that comes through in the work we’re doing. We’ve created a real collaborative environment where everyone’s thoughts, input and effort is considered and recognised, and every piece of work is better than the last.
What would you want someone to know coming into this role?
Be ready to learn. Just because you’ll influence how people around you learn doesn’t mean you should forget about your own learning journey and personal development. Be curious, be open, be honest and build a network of support that will help you thrive.
What are some of your favourite hobbies outside of work?
When I’m not working I’m playing games. Computer games and games with actual people! The game I’m currently playing is quite big all over the world and (travel restrictions allowing) I’ll be playing in a European tournament in Malta next year.
What’s your ‘target’ in life/work?
My target in life/work is to be happy. The happier I am, the more I believe I can achieve both in and out of work. Hopefully inspiring people (including my children) along the way.
